Leaving a Lasting Impression
Hello, my name is Rabiya Khan. I am in my first year at university in a program called Joint Bachelor of History and Political Science. My life goals are to uphold my father’s legacy while also making my dream come true. Since childhood, I have always been intrigued by the field of law. It has always intrigued me as to how you can help people in a court and explain their side of the story. By completing this degree, I can enroll in law school and become a corporate lawyer in the future. I want to use my degree not only to make money but to help people in need.
Aiming High: My Major Goal
I am interested in helping other people and holding my integrity to make their case better in aiding them with the best solution at the time. I want to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer, which helps with issues for land, property, etc. My dad graduated from college with a political science degree, but unfortunately, due to the hard circumstances and the lack of jobs in that field in Pakistan, he could not pursue a career. Upon coming to Canada, it was more of a priority to be stable than to follow your dreams, so he forgot to convert his degree to pursue a career. I want to hold my dad’s legacy and show the future generations that you can honour your parents and pursue your dreams.
A Degree Plan with Personal Meaning
I want to own a law firm that will prioritize helping people, even if they do not have enough money for the cases in their circumstances they are in. I want my clients to be comfortable with me and talk to me in the most honest and best way possible.
