My degree is a stepping stone towards law school and a fulfilling career in law. This section outlines my career aspirations, personal ambitions, and how my degree plan aligns with these goals. It reflects my commitment to making a meaningful impact in the legal field.

My Journey in University
My degree plan begins in Year 1 Fall with foundational courses including Fundamental Philosophical Questions (PHI1103), Twentieth Century World From 1945 (HIS1111), Introduction to Global History (HIS1110), Reasoning and Critical Thinking (PHI1101), and Introduction to Interdisciplinarity in Arts (AHL1100). In Year 1 Winter, you continue with Introduction to Political Science (POL1101), Europe (HIS1120), Politics and Globalization (POL1102), Business and Society (ADM1101), and the Workshop in Essay Writing (ENG1100). The Year 1 Summer term includes Introduction to Business (ADM1300). Moving into Year 2 Fall, your courses are The Historian’s Craft (HIS2100), Introduction to Canadian Politics (POL2101), Introduction to Comparative Politics (POL2104), Modern Political Thought (POL2108), and Introduction to Global Politics (POL2103). In Year 2 Winter, you take Europe in the 20th Century (HIS2342), Introduction to Political Thought (POL2107), Social Science and Research (HIS2150), and Foundations in Political Science (POL2156), followed by the Year 2 Summer course Introduction to Indigenous Politics (POL2305). Your Year 3 Fall term includes Modern Political Thought II (POL3102), Qualitative Analysis in Political Science (POL3370), Epistemology (POL3371), and Selected Topics in African History South of the Sahara (HIS3185). In Year 3 Winter, you take Selected Topics in the History of the Middle East and North America (HIS3190) and Latin American History (HIS3195), leading into a broad Year 3 Summer selection: Migration, Mobility, Borders and Citizenship (POL3113), Comparative Politics in Asia (POL3114), Comparative Politics of Development (POL3115), Politics and Culture (POL3116), and The Politics of Security (POL3124). Finally, Year 4 Fall features advanced seminars including Ancient History Seminar (HIS4150), Seminar in Women’s History (HIS4185), Seminar in Asian History (HIS4184), and Seminar in Medical History (HIS4142), while Year 4 Winter concludes your program with Selected Topics in Indigenous History (HIS4364), Politics and Morality (POL4374), Comparative Politics of China (POL4378), and Discourse Analysis (POL4370).
